Rhodolite is the name for a deep, almost purplish rose-red form of garnet. The name rhodolite means 'rose stone' in Greek. Garnet is the birthstone for January and is given on the 2nd and 6th wedding anniversaries. Rhodolite is known as a stone of emotional healing and has been used to balance emotions.
