Kunzite

Kunzite is usually the pale pink to light-violet gemstone, however sometimes can be very bright and intense therefore may be often seen with saturated pink shade. Its color often depends on the angle it is viewed from. When well polished, it exhibits excellent transparency and very appealing, pleasing luster. It is often cut in such forms as rounds, octagons, ovals, cushions and hearts. This stone is considered to be one of the most durable since it has a good level of hardness (6.5 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale). Despite its durability, kunzite is sensitive to heat and strong light therefore should not be exposed to direct intense sun exposure.
