This beautiful natural purplish red star ruby displays a 6-rayed star, when light is focussed onto the top of the stone. When there is a shift in the light source there will also be a shift in the star seen on ruby. Originating from the natural growth structure within a ruby, the star is formed by needles intersecting at 60° angles.
