Natural Alexandrite 2.04cts
An old saying about color changing alexandrites is that they are 'emerald by day and ruby by night.' The rich colors of this natural alexandrite seem to live up to that saying. This rare and valuable loose gemstone weighs 2.04 carats and has strong color change from dark bluish green to dark reddish purple in artificial light. It was mined in Madagascar and is completely untreated, eye clean with excellent transparency and no color zoning. A brilliant/step cut created the unique rectangular shape measuring 8.25 x 5.90 x 4.34 mm. You may have to change your attire from day to night, but this versatile gem changes color all on its own!
