Chakras and Gemstones

Through this post JupiterGem will give you an insight into the different Chakras our bodies have and how gemstones can be a powerful force of nature.

We use gemstones everywhere; in fact, they pretty much guide our lives. In the jewelry we wear studded with spectacular stones or our watches and smartphones that convert energy because of the gemstone crystals used within it. Even diamond dust that has become an essential part in cutting to gain precision and accuracy for shapes and designs.

Gemstones and Crystals are being used increasingly in spiritual healing and physical healing. But could there be some science behind this? Should we be looking towards gemstones for a little peace of mind in today’s busy, fast-paced world?

Going back to about 10.000 years, crystal healing has been one of the oldest forms of healing known to man. Our predecessors used different types of gems to help in protection. From Baltic Amber amulets to Lapis Lazuli and Turquoise beads the Egyptians wore these gems believing in the power the gems had on the energy around them.

Energies are known to be constantly moving from one organism to another. As discovered in 5000 B.C in India, and in 3000 B.C in China, there is a need for the seamless flow of energy through the body. When this energy comes in contact with a hindrance, the Hindu, and Buddhist faiths believe a problem arises in the physical or emotional health of an individual. Which is where gemstones can help creating the necessary flow of energy.

As crystals form in concise shapes and structures because of the heat and pressure exerted onto them deep within the earth’s surface they have incredible symmetry. They also have a strong, measurable electromagnetic field. Through crystal healing, the aim is to tap into this and tune both the body’s electromagnetic field and the gemstone’s electromagnetic fields to be in sync with each other thus energising the other. This sharing of energy is what helps and benefits the body.

Our body is said to have 7 different Chakras or centers of energy, each with a different gemstone and color corresponding to it. Derived from the Sanskrit word meaning “wheel”, each chakra has been scientifically proven to be a point where major nerve endings meet thus being the ideal spot to aid in creating a harmonious flow of energy.
